About Us

The Foundation

Unioo was founded in 2019 by three passionate association enthusiasts with a shared goal: to make it easier to run volunteer organizations in Denmark. Our CEO, Martin Have, and our graphic designer, Morten Hyldgaard, started the project after recognizing a clear need for a comprehensive digital tool for associations. In 2020, our CTO, Mads Carstensen, joined as a partner and laid the foundation for the technical platform we know today.

What We Offer Associations

At Unioo, we are passionate about volunteer associations. Our digital platform brings together all the tools associations need, allowing volunteer board members to work efficiently and securely. We assist with everything from organizing meetings and managing members to handling documents and verification with relation to their bank account – all encrypted and safe.

Our goal is to make administrative work simple, so members can focus their energy on what the association was created to do.

Our Collaboration with Financial Institutions

We have developed a solution that allows board members to share documents and identification information securely and encrypted, without it becoming a burden. At financial institutions, this process is called the “know-your-customer procedure,” and with Unioo, it becomes simple and manageable for associations.

The collaboration is the result of our knowledge of association life and the financial institutions’ commitment to complying with regulations. We ensure it is easy for volunteers, while financial institutions receive the information they need —creating security and trust for all parties involved.

The Team Behind Unioo

Our team is a diverse mix of data nerds, tech enthusiasts, language artists, customer service specialists, and young talents. Many of us have personally volunteered — in parent boards, neighborhood associations, sports clubs, festivals, and charitable organizations. This experience gives us a deep understanding of what truly makes a difference for volunteers. We love using our expertise to create solutions that make everyday life easier for associations across Denmark.
